A long life can create opportunity, purpose, and deeper family connection. It can also create financial and practical risks that are easy to miss when planning focuses only on investments.
The firm’s work centers on five connected longevity risks: income, taxes, care, family, and legacy. The goal is to help clients understand where they stand, clarify what matters most, and decide whether deeper planning is needed.
My work includes retirement income planning, tax-efficient distribution planning, care planning, estate and legacy coordination, asset protection, charitable planning, special needs planning, and business transition planning.
My perspective is shaped by an unusual combination of experiences. Before entering financial services, I built an international business and became widely known as a scholar, author, teacher, publisher, and maker of historical musical instruments. I hold MA and PhD degrees from the University of Cambridge and have published my research with leading scholarly presses.
Today I bring the same analytical rigor and long-term perspective to helping clients make informed decisions about retirement, aging, family, and legacy.
I believe financial planning is ultimately about preserving independence, expanding choices, and helping families navigate life’s later chapters with confidence.
as an Investment Advisor Representative with Eagle Strategies LLC;
as a Registered Representative offering securities through NYLIFE Securities LLC;
and as an Agent with New York Life Insurance Company, as well as a broker for other insurance carriers.
These roles allow me to help clients consider planning, advisory, securities, and insurance questions through the appropriate approved channels.
My qualifications include the Chartered Financial Consultant, ChFC® designation and the Certification for Long-Term Care, CLTC®. I am a member of New York Life’s Executive Council*, as well as the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT)**, 2023 - 2024).
